As a public governmental body of the state of Missouri, the City of Green Park when provided information, whether through email or other written or electronic submission, that information becomes a record of the City and may have to be disclosed to members of the public or the press pursuant to the requirements of the Open Records and Meetings Law (the Missouri “Sunshine Law” Section 610.010 RSMo et.seq.).
No information is exempt from such disclosure unless the Sunshine Law specifically allows such exemption.
Information provided as part of a job application as well as credit card information is exempted from disclosure. Other exemptions may be found in chapter 610 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri.
Therefore, when providing information to the City, please take care to not include any sensitive information or information that you do not want to be retained in the City’s records.
